Toggle Travel was named the 2026 Entrepreneur of the Year by the American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA), an honor presented at ASTA’s 2026 Travel Advisor Conference in San Diego. Co-founders Matthew Wade and Gabriel Gatete — both University of Michigan computer science graduates — accepted the award in person; co-founder Husain Boxwala couldn’t make the trip, but the honor is as much his. Sponsored each year by the Dan and Gloria Bohan Foundation, the award — and its $10,000 prize — recognizes the creativity, adaptability, and forward-thinking spirit moving the travel and hospitality industry forward. It’s a milestone that belongs to every agency that took an early bet on us.
Why this one means something
Toggle started with a question its founders kept hearing from agencies — “why is it so hard for an agency to see its own numbers?” The answers were all there, buried in years of bookings and commissions, and nobody could get to them.
Travel agencies have always had everything they need to grow sitting in their own records — every reservation, every commission, every supplier relationship, going back years. The problem was never a lack of data; it was that the data stayed locked inside back-office systems built for accounting, not for decisions, so agencies could never really use it to better themselves. ASTA recognized Toggle for closing that gap: turning Trams Back Office, ClientBase, and TRES data into a real-time, role-aware view of the whole agency.
What that looks like for an agency
On top of the back office an agency already runs, Toggle turns that data into the things owners and advisors actually need:
- Real-time analytics on sales, commissions, and yield — no spreadsheets to keep up
- Commission tracking that flags at-risk dollars before they slip away
- Anonymous benchmarking so every advisor can see where they really stand
- AI Studio to ask the agency anything, in plain English
To the agencies who got us here
Forty-plus agencies and more than 3,000 advisors now run on Toggle. The award is theirs as much as ours. To celebrate, we’re extending our flat $35-per-seat pricing through the end of the season — every role, back office and advisor alike.
